my digicam shows a flashing E:62:12

i just noticed it like a month ago. my digicam shows a flashing E:62:12 or i think E:62:16 on the screen. it doesn't appear when i turn my cam but it suddenly flashes when i take pictures. i also noticed that the picture is always inverted when you view it. and lately, i can't seem to change the shooting settings. the flash is always off, i can't turn it on automatic now. pls help! thanks!

The previous message, only it worked out for the error message E.62.12. But I found the solution. Follow steps. Press HOME> SETTINGS> MAIN SETTINGS> INITIALIZE> OK The Cyber-Shot will boot up. Solved! The flash back to work and the error message does not appear. Again excuse my English. Abraços Rodrigues - Brazil

I had the error message, tried initialising and that did not work but have just tried shaking it whilst turned off and now the error message has gone. Thank you all very much.

SOLVED!!! read this article. The error E:62:12 is with sensor that tells to the camera in what position is it. (hor, ver..) No memory, no initial settings.. You onlin need to Shake the camera and then power on it. It solves the problem to me! :)

Hi, I have a sony cybershot Dsc-w90 and i have same problem (the error E:62:12 blinkin on the screen) I apear 10 seconds after i start the camera in "shot mode" (if i put it on review mode, to see pictures that i take, the error doen´t apear) I start the camera without a memory stick, I try reinicialize too, format the memory styck, and also I try another memory stick. Nothing resolve the problem for me :( the camara work just fine. But the error blink all the time in the screen.
