JVC GR-D33EK camcorder sports shutter control

JVC GR-D33EK sports shutter control - how do I set to 1/4000 second shutter speed and watch slow motion playback?

I own a JVC GR-D33EK camcorder which is in very good working order. The user manual tells me on page 19 that under Program AE (sports), I can use a variable shutter speed between 1/250 and 1/4000. How do I select 1/4000th of a second to record? Are there any special settings for watching a slow motion playback?

Although not terribly acquaint with that model as far as its various facilities are concerned anyway, it would appear that on the D33 the sports setting only provides an automatic shutter of between 1/250 and 1/4000. Another model checked on (D270/290) does have a manual variable setting between these ranges, the speeds offered when on "M" Program AE being 1/250 - 1/500 - 1/1000 - 1/2000 - 1/4000, these over riding the auto variable speed when on the Sports shutter setting. Playing back something taken on sports shutter on any machine being either on normal speed, or whilst on normal pressing the "slow" either for over two seconds, the "slow" speed state remaining for approx five minutes before reverting back to normal. (The D33 info being from a different manual from the version you have, as the page numbers vs info does not tally up with numbers you have mentioned)
