The only option you have is to use this procedure. (1) Take the battery out. (2) After waiting about a minute or so, then WHILST YOU ARE HOLDING THE EJECT BUTTON reinsert the battery again, as this procedure can sometimes bypass the safeguard mode system by the eject command leading the faulty tape e-03 warning. (in some cases this procedure has to be tried a few times) However if this doesnt work, then the case has to be partially dismantled and the tape removed with the aid of a small battery to power the loading motor, this possibly the only solution due to the cassette likely having jammed, E-03 indicating that a problem exists with the tape take up spindle, and nearly always caused by a faulty cassette.
