battery charging in a camcorder

Battery

I have a jvc gr-d295u camcorder,i used to charge my battery using the camcorder itself. i want to know if when i can say that the battery is fully charged.there are times that the red light is blinking and there are times that the red lights is not blinking but its on...thank you!

    The normal operating mode is that when when the battery is charging the red light should be blinking, it should then go out when its fully charged. There can be wide variations on the length of time it takes to charge a battery, as it depends on not only the batteries condition but the temperature its being charged in, older and near the end of their life batteries can be quite erratic, by them giving an indication of being fully charged but rapidly falling off in power.
