I bought an old house that has a old Nutone 2071...

Hi, I have a 108 year old house, around the 70's it was updated with an Nutone intercom system model 2071. The master unit still comes on and I can hear screaching in some of the speakers, but I either don't know how to operate it or I need to trouble shoot to see what the actual problem is...Does anyone have any suggestions???
