Although I am not really involved with Sharp brand devices and likewise do not have info on them, but sometimes an easy non-technical way around the problem, and which applies to all cassette type camcorders, is with the aid of a hair-drier on a cold or slightly warm setting, leave the cassette holder open and try blowing air into the mechanism area for about a minute or so, doing this can sometimes blow away any traces of anything the sensor interpretes as condensation.
