HomeJVC mini DV video recorder model GR-D73U that says my lens cap is on (it is not) and the screen remains black. Help...I have a JVC mini DV video recorder model GR-D73U that plays prior recorded material fine and display menues work, but when you switch to the record video mode it says the lens cap is on (it is not) and the screen remains black. I bought the camera in 2004 and am sure it is out of warranty. Is there any way for me to fix the problem?

Full info with appropriate web links sent via DIRECT e-mail, however should anyone else be reading this is the basic reason for the defect. This problem is caused by a manufacturing defect and which a "free" repair is on offer from JVC, this being conditional to you having the original purchase receipt, or packaging with warranty which was contained therein. |
