Is there a way to find out the model number of the JVC unit in my car, without having to lift it out of the dash board first?

I have recently bought a used Nissan imported from Japan The Nissan has JVC radio/CD player which is working well. The command menus are mostly in English, so I assume this is an international model. But I have some trouble understanding some of the menus and settings. Question: is there some way to find out the model number for this JVC radio (so that I can look for a manual), without having to remove the unit from the car dashboard? (it seems that lifting it from teh dash will require special tools) Regards and thanks in advance for anyone with advice.
