Last week I had a problem with my canon digicam SX100 IS. I had closed the flap (which covers batteries and memory card) forcefully. Due to which I was not able to open that flap. I was expecting it a matter of 10 mins with 50 Rs. charges at max. I went to this service center (DEENDAYAL CAMERA AND CO.) and can you imagine they had asked 2700 Rs just to open it. They told me that the flap is gone now. The only way is to change it it and it will take at least 5 days bla bla bla. I was aware of there nature from websites. So I told that I'll come to them after some time and I came back with my camera. I thought of doing some RnD on it because anyhow I had to pay 2700 Rs. With the tools available at my home I was able to open it and I saved 2700 Rs. Hurray!!!! Yes, camera has some small scratches now but it is worth of saving 2700.
