Re: JVC MODEL GR-AXM300

You cannot transfer video from an analogue camcorder into a PC unless the pc has an analogue capture card installed in it. To be quite honest about it, in most cases when dealing with analogue video it much easier (and less costly) to transfer the video onto a DVD recorder (even cheapie type!) using the recorders AV input sockets, you selecting the quality of burn that you want. I never use over a two hour burn though! although in many instances if the video is known to run less than one hour (before editing) I select a one hour burn to keep pristine video quality, albeit that it only seems to be myself who notices any difference over the standard two hour burn, any differences that do exist being so fractional! Needless to say once the DVD is made you then transfer the video into the PC for editing, the task now much easier as the DVD recorder has already compressed it.
