Cable needed to connect JVC GZ-MG57U model to computer.

I have misplaced my cable. It is not your standard usb cable. I have ordered, what was the wrong cable on the internet. I am really having a hard time. Where can I find this cable? I have a JVC Everio model GZ-MG57U

On the maintenance manual the outputs for this model are the following / (1) Standard AV to feed a TV - video recorder - or a DVD recorder. (2) An "S" video output for higher quality video (in theory anyway) into the same as above. (3) A mini USB "B" to "A" to feed into JVC's DVD burner. It does not have a dedicated PC connection and I recommend that you transfer the video into a standard DVD recorder using the AV cable provided, as this is a safer way to do it without the danger of losing the video and the quality obtained has virtually no difference from doing it into the PC, something which can be fraught with problems! (The cable you describe refers to the "S" video output socket, which is not intended for PC connections)

The cable referred to should be a standard Mini-USB "B" type cable which should be stocked by any decent (larger) camera / camcorder shop, however why dont you just contact JVC customer services or go into the spares section on JVC's web site, as this cable is used on quite a range of models including non JVC brands.
