HomeBlank screen When I turn it on, nothing happens. Screen is blank. Lens cap alert comes on, even though the lens cap is off. everything else works but the picture won't show. It records but no picture to record.

The DX77 is on a list of models that can potentially suffer from the image sensor defect known as the "lens cap problem". A free repair is on offer by JVC provided you are the original purchaser of the device and have proof of this, so contact JVC customer services if the qualification applies.
