Well apart from the obvious possibility of the output IC associated with that channel being faulty, however before you start delving into replacing any item have you first of all tried reversing the right and left outputs over to positively confirm that the fault is within the unit and not associated with the speaker lines. (just thought worth mentioning!)

    Thank you for the reply jb38, the speakers are fine and so is the wiring, thought about the output ic but what about caps or resistors that may be faulty ??? The other problem that occurs is that the right channel sounds very scratchy, and thats without any sound when the fader knob is turn on 100% audio to the left channel as well as when the audio is in balance. Looked for skematics for these radio's and can't find any, do you know of any ? Your reply is valued... Thanks TMC
