Why doesnt the editing software JVC gives me cant play the audio from my video file?

I have a Everio GZ-HD6 and i try editing my videos using "Power Cinema NE for Everio" and on the editing screen, I can't hear anything. I try my personal settings and i can hear everything fine. Even if i preview my video or open the file using "VLC Media Player" I can hear the original audio. Even after converting it to a different format using Power Cinema doesnt work. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS????!!!
