KV-36HS500 won't turn on. Get nothing but a blinking standby light.

This Sony Wega ( Model # KV-36HS500, S/N 90338234) was purchased in 2002). It first failed with this no turn on blinking standby light problem in 2006. I had it fixed by a local tech. He replaced two IC's in a module. 3 years later, the same failure has occurred. Will probably fix it one more time (around $ 200.00), however, the next failure will send it to the junk yard. I willill never again buy a Sony TV.
