To be perfectly frank and honest about it, there is effectively nothing anyone can do in situations like this if they are not technically knowledgeable with the internals of domestic electronic equipment no matter what, and especially so for safety reasons in cases of CRT TV's such as this where voltages as high as 25KV can be experienced, and this applying even long after the set has been switched off and disconnected from the mains.
