DVD is Crashing laptop

I have a Dell inspiron 9300 laptop The integral DVD player will play pre-recorded Disks and burn data to used re-writeable Disks but when I try a new disk the system crashes. I have run a diagnostic check and the following error code appears OFOO:136C Would appreciate your thoughts
