just stumbled across this blog... as my recently bought Sony HD Handycam displayed this message after accidently slipping off my printer omto the carpet floor.. I was a bit skeptical at first but after 3 goes at the banging method (last being banging on the swivel chair armrest covered by a towel), it amazingly worked.. Oh the wonders of the internet and google!!
