I had same kind of problem. TV would power up run for 1/2 hr then shut off. When we would attempt to power on TV unit it would just blink a few times then shut down with no picture. Called Sony for repair location in my area and the technicians took the television back to shop for 119 initial fee. I receive television back 2 weeks later with additional 329 dollar charge for "D CIRCUIT BOARD REPLACEMENT". The T.V. has been fine. I figured it was worth the price as T.V. only in use for approximately 4 years. I will not however pay any additional repairs as technology moving so fast if this last another 2 to 3 years I buy new TV FOR 400 DOLLARS by then with no more problems.. Just figure I pass the information along.... chemmes
