HomeEverytime I turn my stereo on it makes a loud pop and then shuts off and goes into Protect Mode. I have had my stereo for about 3 years now but I only use it a couple times a week but it's a great stereo and I love it but I wish I could still listen to it. If you could please help me out with my situation it would be much appriciated.

Not acquaint with that particular model, however I can say that the symptom you describe suggests that the output stage has failed which can under certain circumstances cause damage to the speakers, and the noise you hear is the result of the protection circuit cutting in which shuts down the power supply to the output stage to avoid this happening. Don't keep trying it as it might also fail and if it does the speakers will blow. |
