Where can I get a cable to go from my camera to my computer?

The cable you require is a standard 4 pin DVi type cable, this also known as a Firewire or IEEE1394 connection and this end going into the camcorder, you can get it with USB on the other end to couple into your PC, but its advisable to use a DVi to DVi cable as the PC doesnt then require any special video streaming software installed in the same way it "does" with a USB connection. Your PC will of course require to have some form of video editing software installed in it, as that contains a "video capture" facility, but this can be any type (brand) of software and indeed Windows movie maker (installed as standard in XP PC's) has it. By the way you will need to make sure your PC has a Firewire socket facility, and this can be a 4 pin (same as camcorder) or 6 pin type, 6 pin being the more usual for a desktop.
