INTERNET PROBLEM WITH SONY VAIO....HELP TO FIX IT!!

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop. The problem im facing with it is that the internet has all of a sudden stopped working. When I was using Reliance datacard it workied just fine.... ever since i switched to Wired connection it has never worked.... I tried everything on internet options to see if something is turned off.....but it didnt help....WHAT DO I DO TO MAKE IT WORK??
