HomeRadio Hey i installed this radio in my car. It was used but it worked fine before it was taking out of the car of the guy i bought it from. I check to make sure all the wires were conected properly. Now when i turn it on it powers up and i can get it to play cd's but when i switch to the radio i get no sound is their a solution or a troobleshooting method i can use to figure out why

Well the most usual reason for this is that the antenna is either not plugged in properly or if it is there is a possibility of the cable either being broken or alternatively shorted out, if broken its usually immediately where it leaves the plug. As far as checking is concerned, if when you turn the volume up high you hear a loud hissing or general background noise then its liable to indicate that the radio as such is OK, pointing of course to the antenna. |
