Sony ccd v110

Hi, I have just purchased a CCD V110 it has a problem when switched on the battery warning light in the view finder flashies and turns the camera off it does not stay on long enough to open the cassette door I have checked the battery voltage after charging and also after removing from the camera and the voltage remains the same about 5.5 volts I wouild like to know if you have had a similar problem and if you thing the camera is worth having repaired also would you have any parts like the NP-400 battery pack and the AC pack, the camera looks in good condition and I would like to save it if possible.
