also e03 and e06 seems to mean a problem with the cassette itself the majority of the time, a new cassette usually solves this problem. i would also like to add that i am never buying JVC again, this product has caused more problems and cost me more money to fix it than it was worth.... if anyone reads this please save your money for a better product and also notice that no other camcorder seems to have so many problems.... buy digital it is so much better. i sent these responses because no one else seems to care about error e04 i searched for over two hours and someone suggested to connect it to my computer via usb port (good luck finding that by the way). get the cassette out and reset the camcorder by unplugging it and removing the battery for about an hour
