Well first of all you really have to confirm if your battery is perfectly OK, as you haven't mentioned if this has been checked. If by any chance it is OK then its likely that the change over contacts (located behind the casing) where the charger power plug goes in have not remade after removing the plug, and so try rapidly pulling the plug out and in as sometimes that will snap the contacts shut again.
