Re: condensation operation paused

JB38 Posted Sep 07, 2010, in response to:Patrick

Unfortunately the basic answer is no! as this problem is so very uncommon in a DVL model that I haven't composed any info on how to disable the sensor, that said though the basic principle involved of shorting out the sensor can be applied to any camcorder by a person acquaint at working with small precision electro mechanical devices, however as can be imagined it requires the casing to be removed on the LCD side to access the circuit boards, and especially where the ribbon cable from the loading motor / dew sensor joins the PCB as the short is applied across the two appropriate pins at this point. With your model it could well be that the sensor has developed a permanent high resistance and thats the cause of your problem, but if not then it would require much more detailed investigation. Another test you could try is to remove then reinstall the memory back up battery, this usually located in the rear section of the casing in all D & two digit models or in some other models its in the front, but I cant really give the exact location as I am not acquaint with that particular model nor do I have the service sheet for it, otherwise it would be possible to make a few doctored screenshots of whats required.
