I own several models of the sony handycam video8 camcorders and have been searching for someone/someplace to have service done. I would rather work with a tape recording device as I have the ability to edit tape.

I'm looking for a replacement LCD panel for a Sony projector VPL-VW10HT. The faulty panel is Sony part number LCXD37ALT1. I do not want to replace the whole prism assembly as it would not be economically viable.

I just found your post and was wondering if you could help. I'm a BEAMer and am looking for more of these Sony "pancake" motors. I have one from a cassette player but all my searches turn up zip. The part number is MNR-8000B. Any assistance would be greatly apprieciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I have a Sony DSC-S30 camera, with a battery issue. The camera was working fine, then it developed a problem with the zoom button. I replaced the power/zoom contol switch assembly. The zoom now works fine, but I now have a battery error flashing on screen. When you turn on camera, lcd energizes, the zoom works, you can focus on subject, then for "infolithium battery" only pops up on lcd, camera turns off afew seconds later. I have replaced many of these switches,I've never come across this error before. What caused this and how do I fix it. Thanks

I have a Sony CCD TR416 Sony Handycam. When I try to put a tape in it rejects it and opens right back u again. I thought I would just buy am inexpensive one to replace it so I could play tapes and copy them to another format. Would a ccd trv318 or ccd trv138 be compatible? Would any of the new digital camcorders be compatible? What technolgoy would I need to transfer all of these tapes to a CD? Would taking them to a professional to do this be the best way to get this done or investing in equipment of my own and what equipment do I need? Thanks. Brian
