Home | Previous messageI got the great DISK ERROR today and did the format thing on the PC then took the disc to the camera - then formatted it to the camera - and it began taking pics again - the only prb is when i go to get the pics off the floppy, the computer now cant see them and it tries to reformat the disk !I am thinking this camera is a piece of @#$@#*! I keep going round and round with this issue and hope one of you can help me out........pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!! cam

I have a FD73 and use it all time and didn't have a problem with it until a couple of months where my pictures looked like crap no matter what I did. Just last week I started getting a message "no disk or disk error" and now getting error message 13:01 like everyone else on this site. I bought new disks and same message, I formatted them in camera, still nothing. I formatted in PC and still no change. I am a photoghapher for a local fire dept and I love this camera cause I can zoom in and stay out of everyone's way. I agree there should be a recall on these cameras. Also when i opened the disks in the PC i would notice .411 files on the disk. I was told those files weren't important. So if anyone has a cheap solution and not be greedy about what they know please help us by not keeping it to yourself. FD92- I had some problems with disc errors/protetc. I find doing a full-format on the PC, then inserting the disc into the camera before turning it on usually does the trick. If that doesn\'t work try standing on your head and chant "Ohm" whilst open and closing your legs. Then throw the camera in the nearest river. These cameras are seriously crap. I have the same exact problem with my MVC-FD81. i reformatted it on hte computer, then it has the disk error on the camera. If i format it on the camera, it can take pix but can't load on the computer. and noone is replyin to this problem!!!!!!!!! IF u ahvea soloution please share!!! thanxx |
