I also have a MVC-CD1000 with the same error ,but in my case camera does a bzzzzzz and if i put it head down it stops and record the disc ,,,,,if your problem is loss of data you need a CD DVD Diagnostic V2.0.2 app to recover your photos if u need help post your mail to send you a tool
