I'm having problems capturing DV from my JVC Camcorder Model GR DVD70 into my recently purchased HP Notebook Model 1000. No matter whether I use the supplied software or the software MUVEE which was bundled with the purchase of my computer, the error message is the same... that "no video device is detected". I am using a firewire cable purchased from Best Buy. Could the absense of the recommended "core filter" make a difference, or is there some other possible problem? Thanks, Jerry

Hi I have a JVC GR-D33U miniDV cam. The image is presenting somo dark spots. I have cleaned the lens and see the recordings and they also present these spots. I wandering if they maybe because the LCD has a problems or maybe the cam is dirty inside. I would like to know how to clean it by myself inside. Tx

Hi Stacey I own a JVC HM-HDS4E VCR-HDD recorder. Half a year ago, it got 'hung-up' after starting up and hitting some buttons before the blue light of the HDD turns on. I've noticed that the unit doesnt like IR commands when still booting up. After a lot of searching on the net, I found a hard-reset sequence, which was actually applicable for JVC VCR's that also worked with my HM-HDS4E: it was something like pressing the power on and the stop button simultaneously and then inserting the power cord. It cleared the machine and it worked fine ever since. Now coming back from my holiday, we managed again to get the unit 'hung up', but I forgot the right key sequence, and I can't seem to find it anymore on the net. Can you help me out here? As far as I remember what I found on the net was not specifically for the HM-HDS4 but for JVC VCR's but it did the trick. Any advise please is greatly appreciated. Lucien van Os
