It is impossible to just recommend a part unless we look at the unit ourselves to see what is working or not working properly internally.
Unless the VCR is an expensive piece, we usually do not encourage repair because you can purchase them so inexpensively these days. I am not familiar with the model you note, so I do not know how old it is or how much it was to purchase.
How old is it and where are you located?
