Re: SONY ORIGINAL PARTS

Sir:
I have a 27 inch Sony TV that I bought in 1988. I was told by a technician, when I lived down in Texas, that older TVs were built better, and that it would be worth keeping and repairing. I have a problem with the set. The tuner does not function. I can still use it as a monitor, but the internal tuner is inop. The same tech told me that it sounded like a "I C Block". I may not remember correctly what he told me or what he meant as I am not a tech. What do you think? Thanks, FRED
