Wow what a revalation...I had been sailing along with no problems what so ever with my DVL300 and then boom ....the dreded reattach battery message. I am so glad i check here because its working now. I first had the "cleaning Tape" error and then it went away the the "battery error" showed up. I was plenty pissed especially for those of you taping family etc. that those memories will be lost forever. I did fix mine by the tap on the side method and blow it out method.
So far its ok. I do hate a piece of equipment that you cant trust and can fix it by tapping on it.
