I have the same camera, jvc grd90u and I've never had a battery problem. I use the 5 hour battery, which is larger than the one that comes with the camera. Mine, however, suffers from the "condensation" message, the rainbow LCD, and whenever I try to load a tape it immediately pops back out.

I, too, have the same problem. One repair facility (JVC Authorized) told me that if you leave the battery on the camera it will "fry" the charging circuitry. What has everyone done about their cameras?

Hi, I have a similar problem, my camcorder doesn't charge the battery, but with AC everything works fine, the voltage of batery is about 1v, this is too low for the 6V DC Battery, but whet I measure the contact's battery in camcorder is about -3v with reverse polarity, I guees that the power souce in camcorder is out of order, and the circuir can't swich from the refresh mode to the charge mode....really I don't knows what happens when I put in a new charged battery...and if exist some method to solve the problem

I have the same exact problem? What gives? We all need to contact the company and complain together since there seems to be a trend with this particular model. Otherwise we are all going to get stuck with a huge bill for repair, when it seems obvious that this is a material defect in the product.
