I have the same error message but the code is E03. After seeing this thread, I will never buy another JVC product again. I am also very disappointed at Best Buy for selling a unit with known defects.

I too am very un-happy with Best-Buy for selling me this JVC Cam corder...all I get is error 03 codes....Sharlt
