I PURCHCASE A 50 INCH PROJECTION SONY TV AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE PICTURE FADED. I CALLED THE SONY DEALER WERE I PURCHASED IT AND THEY CALLED SONY AND SAID IT WAS A DEFECTIVE TV;AKA A LEMON. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET CREDIT AND I PURCHASE A SONY KF50XBR800 LCD TV AND IT IS FINE UNTIL JUST BEFORE JULY 4 2004 JUST ONE YEAR AND 5 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. NOW I HAVE PURPLE HAZE ON THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. I CALL TO GET IT SERVICED AND THEY PICKED IT UP. 4 WEEKS LATER I GOT IT BACK AND THEY SAID IT WAS MICRO DUST. WHAT!!! IT STILL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOW THERE IS PIXELS OUT AND A HUGE SCRACTH FROM THE REPAIR MAN. IT IS CURRENTLY AT ANOTHER SONY SERVICE CENTER WAITING FOR PARTS. I HAVE BEEN CALLING SONY FOR A REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS GOING ON MY 4TH SONY TV.(I DIDNY MENTION THE OTHER ONE DUE TO THE FACT IM GETTING TIED OF TALKING ABOUT THIS SUBJECT!)I ALSO DONT WANT TO BE STUCK WITH IT WHEN THE WARRENTY GOES OUT IN 6 MONTHS. THEY OF COURSE DENIED AND WILL FIX THE BROKEN TV WITH PARTS THAT PROBEBLY ARE JUST AS DEFECTIVE. IM GOING TO KEEP FIGHTING.
