Re: Re: JVC GR - DVL300

Juan Carrera Posted Aug 29, 2004, in response to:Juan Carrera

A quick update about the JVC lawsuit. It is expanded in scope, no longer focused on the E04 / Battery / Safeguard problem but claims that JVC camcorders suffer from design and manufacturing flaws which customers are expected to "repair". Also, there are over 600 complaints in my database and over 225 people have given their contact info to join the lawsuit. Over 100 camcorder models are included, and people from 30 countries have joined.

Hi Juan: I have had the GVM-90 unit for about three years now & have had error messages from day one. Just this Saturday, 9.18.04, it will not power up no matter what I do and the tape will not/cannot eject. Please add me to your list. I will provide you with any information that you need. Bob

I would like to add my name also. I may not qualify as my camera was purchased in August 2004, a GRD200US, but exactly the same problem. Cannot eject the tape (JVC tape) and E01 error. $400 dollars wasted. Even if I pay the $200 repair, I will still have a camera waiting for the next occurrence of the problem. They do not reply to my e-mails. Kind regards Sean Maxwell
