Re: JVC GR-D22U camcorder

I just purchased this model cam-corder so the question about this same model not rejecting the tape alarmed me. Especially since my brother had a different model JVC and had the same problem while in Europe in September. Does this seem to be a design flaw and should I just take the unit back and continue using my 10-year old Sony unit?
