Hi john, It is most likely power supply. All these sets have common problem, which is failing solder joints on power components, which in turn causes power supply to fail. Your solution is dependant on whether you know your way around electronic ciruitry and if you ever did any repair by your self. If you did not, then I would not recommend you doing it. Find a reputable repair shop, or better, if you have friend who knows about electronics. If it is what I think it is, then you will need four components: one 2SC4927 (horisontal output), two SC4834(power supply), one 0.1 oHm fusible resistor. All these parts are available from electronix.com at $6.99 as kit# 80-112. Good luck, Jack
