I have a JVC tv that is approximately 2 years old. Last night all of a sudden a rectangular black box came up in the middle of the screen like the one that has all the options, but it didn't have any writing on it. When I push a certain button on my remote it goes away but only for a few seconds. It doesn't matter whether it's on cable or dvd it continually pops up in the middle of the screen. Do you have any ideas why it is doing this and how to fix it? Thank you.

I just got the same problem, my gf pressed the display button then a series of a bunch more to get rid of it, then lo' and behold the black box is stuck there now, but it goes away for the dvd player.
Any help would be nice thanks.
