Re[2]: Error Codes Assistance

I have had exactly the same thing happen with my TRV20. Started just before Xmas and at times cannot get the tape to eject. Thought initially it was a bad tape but has happened on subsequent tapes. Any knowledge on hos to address would be appreciated.

My camera does it intermitently. When it does, I give it smack and gradually assist opening and ejecting the tape. Then I open and blow into the tape area. It has been working fine for the last couple of weeks. For some reason I think it is humidity related but I cannot say for sure.
Good Luck, Ron

Deb J - 18th Jun 2005 5:56 I was experiencing the same error message in the last few weeks. I actually could not get the C30:31 message to go away. And my tape would also not eject.
Replacing the battery has fixed the problem. If your battery is 3-4 years old, getting a new battery might fix the problem.
The error message is actually that the tape is not turning fast enough, so there could be other causes than the battery, but an old battery is a likely cause.
For reference, my camera is the TRV-17 which I received in December 2001.

Thanks for the reply. The problem has been so intermittent I have learned to live with it but I will surely change the battery out...
Thanks for your contribution.
