I sent you an e-mail with a copy of a tech tip that states to check for a defective CRT. It also says to increases the G2 voltage. This adjustment is on the circuit board on the neck of the picture tube. It's called "Screen" adjustment. I believe it's designated as RV702. If you get this far also check R701 on the same circuit board for possible poor solder joints. It's been known to become intermittent in the KV-32S10 chassis which is similar to yours. BE VERY CAREFUL. The voltage feeding to R701 is about 1000VDC. If you increase the "Screen" the pix should brighten. Of course it would be great if you could actually check the G2 voltage going to the CRT with a voltmeter. I CAN'T MENTION ENOUGH TO BE VERY CAREFUL. IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING THIS DON'T EVEN TRY. Finally try tapping VERY, VERY gently on the neck of the CRT with an insulated object like a piece of wood/rubber. If you can cause the problem to occur by doing this then the CRT is defective. There is an intermittent short in the CRT which is beyond repair. If you try all this without success in finding the problem, then it gets rather complicated. You might have poor solder joints on the Horizontal Drive Transformer or Horizontal Drive Transistor, or CM401 Comb Filter, or DL302 Delay Line or IC301 Jungle IC or one of the three pin voltage regulators that supply voltages to various stages in your video circuits of your TV. I do wish you luck and PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Eric
