Re: JVC TH-M505 HTIB

Jason Schneider Posted Mar 05, 2005, in response to:Ron McAfee

I just bought the same model and I noticed the fan isn't spinning in the subwoofer either, I don't know if it has an automated thermal heat switch that activates the fan if gets too hot so that its not continously running, but I'm hopeing that its not a problem. The unit does seem to operate correctly with the fan not spinning. it ya ever do find the answer to it, let me know.

Thanks for your reply on the fan. I have checked with the local service center for JVC and they are of no help. Just said bring it in and leave it for a couple of weeks and we will check it out. So far no heat buildup or problems so I am going to just assume that you are right and it is thermostatically controlled and will not start the fan unless it is needed.. By the way I have tried 4 different systems and my JVC is the best...
