Re: JVC service or questions

Steven Warfield Posted May 13, 2005, in response to:Stacy Sample

I found your contact info from http://www.pechorin.com/m/2004/01/30/JVC_service_or_questions-208860-7.html, and had a question regarding my AV-27020 JVC television. Somehow my 2 year old has - again, I might add - managed to disable all remote inputs to the television from the front panel controls. I will go into a little detail here - nothing on the remote (RM-C345) will function, yet the front panel controls work just fine. I checked the batteries and made sure that there was a clear path to the infrared port - no problems at either point. In addition, the cabel remote - which can also control the TV - hads no effect on any parameters: not able to turn on/off power, change channel/volume, nothing. This problem developed once before, and somehow I managed to fix it - I just don't remember how. The only thing I can think of to do is somehow do a hard reset of whatever settings have been changed, but unplugging the TV does not seem to help. Any suggestions??

I have the same problem as you, i bought an open unit and the I cant get the remote to work at all. I need to do a reset to factory standards then i can change the channel I get. I hope my experience with this product improves, so far I am a little upset at the way it works.
