3 days I am in Mexico and that my camera doesn't work due to this error ! I was in Cozumel in submarine and cannot do anything. I read this forum and find this solution. It's incredible and my wife will not believe me but now it works and I can do film about my holydays. Thanks for increedible solution and I really do not send my best wishes to Sony who makes such inreadble message for errors. It's not my first experience with suche coded message. I think my next by will look for clarity of message for help. Thanks again. Eric

I have the same problem with this error, it really run after some hits to sides, top and bottom. Nice work from sony. :-D ThX for help.

I was having this problem too. It said C:31:30 and C:31:23 and i read about hitting it fairly hard.. Well I hit it hard on each side with teh tape in it, and now it works fine.... So good luck guys!

Hi All I don't believe it! I had the same code on my TRV245. Banged the camera on a table, re-seated the battery and it worked! Thanks for the technical assistance ;) Andy
