Re: JVC service or questions

Tyler Posted Jun 28, 2005, in response to:Stacy Sample

Hello, I have a JVC GR DVM 50 camcorder. The dial that selects "Play,Camera,Off,ect.." and the inner press pad that controls FFW, stop, Rewind, ect.. have fallen off. When I took the camera out of the bag the 2 peices just fell out, I do not see any other peices. The time prior the camera worked fine and was fine when I put it away. nothing on the camera or the 2 peices looks broken or damaged, but I cannot figure out how to re-attach them. I am hearing that this is a common problem now with these cameras. Any help on how to fix or where to send it to be repaired and estimated cost would be appreciated. Thank You In Advance, Tyler

Tyler: exact same thing happen to me in august; Let me know if you find someone to service it. I was able to put parts back in place, line it up to record (you can hear it engage) and then used a big rubber band to keep parts in place; so when I pulled out the eye piece, it would go into record mode and I could then record. I just couldn't get the press pad to rewind or play.
