I, too, am having a problem with my autofocus on my JVC GR-DVP3U. Even while sitting the camera on a tripod and not moving at all, the camera keeps moving in and out of focus. Did you get any feedback on the focus problem?

Sorry about your screen....I too loved this camera and I don't want to have to buy another one.

  I'm also sorry about all the problems I've got with this camera. It seems they are all problems of the design of the camera, since there are a lot of people claiming about this model.
