Re[3]: JVC GR-D70U condensation problem

darren Posted Aug 15, 2005, in response to:Garnet Campbell

Someone help, I need this panasonic nv-ds65 video camera to work It has the condensation problem that I see so many others have had. I was in Myanmar(Burma) when it all started and it has been stored open (as stated in the manual) in a dry enviroment. I have even tried drying it with a fan and it's been 3 days and no change It also make a horrable noise when I open it Does anyone have a answer ASAP Thanks

I had a similar problem with my JVC... I fixed it by taking the camera right apart and disconnecting the two halves of the camcorder and then reconnecting it.. which somehow rebooted some chip inside it... I know it sounds weird and stupid that they would design the camera that way... but my camera worked after I did it.. I waited for two months for the condensation to dry out... in front of fans etc.. but it never did. My only advise is to mark down the types and sizes of screws on apaper or the camera when you take it apart so you know which screws go where when you put it back together. If you hada jvc I'd email the pic of the cable i disconnected... but you have a diff model... Garnet
