Hi, I have a JVC camcoder (Gr-DX77u), which zooms in automatically as soon as I turn it on. If I zoom out, it goes back to zoom 40X by itself. I hope you have some tricks to correct this. Bye!

  I purchased this model on eBay and it was doing the same thing. Feeling I had no other recourse since I was going to notify the seller that it was defective, I smacked it lightly on top of the zoom slider and it fixed it. Hope that helps.
